Week #2: Free Lunch On The Hill

Home Opener vs. Cardinal O’Hara, Saturday September 8, 11:00 A.M.,

And lunch is on us!

NO - Capitol Hill is not springing for lunch – we’re talking about Palmer House Hill!

YES - Congressman Pat Meehan will visit at halftime to present Dr. Cox and Coach Murphy with a special Citation to recognize our 125th season anniversary.

THE CANNON CLUB is excited to kick off the Tent Event season and invites all who support our Fightin’Fords, to this Saturday’s home opener. Parents, relatives, friends, students, alumni, faculty, and admin - all are welcome to grab a hot dog, burger, summer salads, chips, desserts and beverages - starting end of the first quarter.

Now that construction is completed, we’re “back on the hill” by Palmer House/Nostrant Pavillion.

So cheer where you will during the game, but don’t be shy - come on up to the hill at halftime where the Fords maroon tent is and

And the food is fine and the friendship finer.

We are in need of volunteers to help with the football tailgates and pre-game meals - a great way to show your FORDS team spirit and feed the hungry players!

This season, we will be using VolunteerSpot to organize the food and volunteer help.  Please sign-up - here's how it works in 3 easy steps:

1.  Click the below link to go to Haverford’s invitation page on VolunteerSpot:

Tailgates- game day

Pre-Game Meals- Friday night

2.  Enter your email address.  You will NOT need to register an account on the site.  The email is used to send a confirmation and reminder two days before as well as any updates (i.e. change is start times, food needs).

3.  Sign Up!  Choose what you would like to bring or how you would like to help.  Scroll through the calendar to sign up for all of the tailgates at once or choose the date that works best for you

Note:  Volunteerspot does NOT share your email address with anyone or send spam emails.  If you prefer not to enter your address, please contact me and I can sign you up manually.

And finally there are only three games that are still in need of 6 cases of Gatorade. Please consider donating a case or two. The Gatorade may be brought to the game or to Murph’s office the day off the game.

Please email Bruce Morgan, bmorgan@bcmaffordablehousing.com with the game date and number of cases.
